Company History :

El Baddar for Packages is the first leading private manufacturer of corrugated packaging in Egypt. The company’s history started in 1959 when Mr. Berty Baddar (1916-1997) established El Baddar Company for packages in Egypt. Mr. Baddar was the first to start the corrugated box industry in Egypt in the private sector. He is also the first to introduce the Egyptian egg-tray industry in both private and public sectors.

The company was originally a sole proprietorship known as “Berty Baddar & Co.” and operated under that name for more than 30 years. In 1992, the company became a corporation under the name of “El Baddar Co. for Packages”.
 

It is currently a member of the International Corrugated Case Association (ICCA) and a member of the Egyptian Industry Federation.

El Baddar production plant is located in Cairo. The first corrugating plant was established in 1959 at El Zawya El Hamara. In 1985 the plant moved to a larger facility located in Cairo Ismailia Desert Road. This current location is actually more advantageous since it facilitates El Baddar shipping operations to its customers anywhere around Egypt.

Being a pioneer in the private sector industry of corrugated packaging, El Baddar has a deeply rooted experience extended on almost 131,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities and around 450 well trained workers, ready to satisfy its customer’s needs.
Being more than 40 years in the field of corrugated packaging, El Baddar has an annual productivity of 40,000 Metric tons, which occupies one of the largest shares in the Egyptian market concerning the corrugated boxes production. Its productivity is not only limited to the Egyptian market but it indirectly exports as well to Europe, the Middle East and Africa through exporters.
In 1997, the plant has undergone a process of modernization of the machines. The old corrugator was replaced by a German automated new one supplied by PETERS for machine fabric. And the old converting machines have been replaced by new computerized modern ones in order to enhance the efficiency of the plant and increase its output.
The converting section of the plant where all types of corrugated packages are produced is continuously updated and modernized to improve the quality of the packages and significantly satisfy customers needs. El Baddar is currently able to produce any kind of corrugated packages with the possibility of printing up to 5 colors.

El Baddar offers a wide range of corrugated packaging products varying according to customers’ demands and requirements. Our experienced staff, aided by up to date tools, art equipment and computers, are able to offer the optimum packaging solution in terms of model design, color schemes and printing quality. Creative designs are customized according to customers needs at the design department, where quality samples, and prototype models are provided virtually indistinguishable from the final product.
